Vestibular Rehabilitation: Advanced Management


This course aims to help participants further their assessment and treatment skills and better understand multidisciplinary management of complex vestibular patients, spanning from acute to community settings.

It comprises a mixture of lectures and practical components. This course is suitable for neurological, musculoskeletal and emergency physiotherapists interested in vestibular management and who have completed an Introductory Vestibular Rehab Course.

The participant of the Vestibular Rehabilitation: Advanced Management course will have:

 

1. Better understanding of normal auditory function

2. Understand the role of the ENT surgeon in the management of patients with vestibular dysfunction     

3. Analyse and interpret vestibular function test results    

4. Understand the role of musculoskeletal physiotherapist in managing dizziness

5. Understand the role of the cardiologist in managing dizziness incl differential diagnosis    

6. Identify and manage horizontal canal BPPV    

7. Discuss complex vestibular case studies and optimal management and strategies
