Lecture: Understanding Total Knee Replacement-Arthrokinematics

Professor Paul Smith will discuss in depth the intricacies of ´Total Knee Replacement’ including which ligaments to preserve (e.g. PCL) or sacrifice. Professor Smith is passionate about research and teaching and was involved in the establishment and ongoing management of the Trauma and Orthopaedic Research Unit at The Canberra Hospital, the ACT Bone Bank and the ACT Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic Research Foundation.

Professor Jennie Scarvell, Director of Physiotherapy at University of Canberra, will provide an intimate view of knee motion (when stepping up or kneeling for example), and how this differs in the OA knee.

This comprehensive presentation will change how you think about knee movement and your approach to treatment.
