The Sporting Knee With Tim McGrath
Course: The Sporting Knee with Tim McGrath (PhD)
This course is appropriate for AHPRA registered physiotherapists only*
Best practice requires advanced skills in diagnoses, treatment and rehabilitation when treating patients with acute and complex knee conditions.
The aim of this course is to improve participant’s evidence-based clinical knowledge of knee conditions and apply this to the rehabilitation of their patients in a wide variety of practical settings (sedentary to elite sporting populations). On completion of this course, participants would be expected to have an advanced understanding of the diagnostic criteria and management approaches necessary to treat these conditions. There is a bias towards active sporting patient populations within this course, with multidisciplinary presentations on Orthopaedics, Radiology, Sports Physiotherapy and Athletic Development. This course will focus on advanced level clinical reasoning and treatment approaches explored in other APA / SPA courses, with a particular practical focus on mid to end stage rehabilitation.
Physiotherapists with post-graduate experience in treating knee conditions looking to obtain an advanced level of knowledge would benefit the most from this course.
Presenters: Tim McGrath (PhD) - Physiotherapist, NRL's St George Illawarra Dragons;
