The evidence for the effect of diet on our health is growing rapidly.
How much of an effect does diet have on our patient's presenting problem? What can, and should, physios recommend to patients in regards to weight loss, pain and anti-inflammatory diets? Do I need to vary this with each patient?
Advice may include high vs low protein diet in weight loss, changes in our biomarkers with various foods, and dietary effects on pain.
Katherine Brain and Emily Webb are working with the team at the University of Newcastle conducting meta-analysis and controlled trials in these areas.
