Advanced Knee Diagnosis and Rehabilitation

The aim of this highly practical course is to improve participants’ evidence-based clinical knowledge of knee conditions and apply this to the rehabilitation of their patients from sedentary to elite sporting populations. On completion of this course, participants would be expected to have an advanced understanding of the diagnostic criteria and management approaches necessary to treat these conditions, including diagnostic radiology, advanced clinical reasoning, strength and conditioning and treatment. The course has a strong practical component, including early to end-stage rehabilitation in the gym and field setting. Physiotherapists with post-graduate experience in treating knee conditions looking to obtain an advanced level of knowledge would benefit the most from this course.

 

At the completion of this course, you should:

• Have an advanced understanding of diagnostic radiology in reference to knee conditions, including XRay and MRI scans

• Apply advanced clinical reasoning skills in the diagnoses and management of knee conditions

• Apply an advanced level of clinical skills in the early stage rehabilitation of knee conditions

• Apply an advanced level of clinical skills in the mid-stage rehabilitation of knee conditions

• Apply an advanced level of clinical skills in late stage rehabilitation and return to sport criteria
